Erin has been dancing for 16 years, taking classes in a variety of styles.  In high school she developed a passion for choreography teaching, and has stuck with it ever since.  After teaching at Excite Academy in Hamilton for 3 years, Erin went on to open her own studio in June of 2020.

 

Erin believes that everyone should be able to dance and prides herself on the family environment she has created at Strive.  Her favourite styles to teach are Acro, Contemporary and Jazz.  

She wants Strive to be a place where anyone can enjoy dancing, no matter their age or ability.  Her classes are high energy and fun!

Gemma started dancing in Auckland, training in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Irish dance.  Over the past decade, she has taught in various communities in New Zealand, developing a particular passion for teaching Ballet and helping dancers refine their technique.

 

Alongside dance she is a doctor, currently training in General Practice.  Her prior experience as a Pilates instructor assists her teaching, encouraging strong, well-rounded dancers.  Gemma loves working with students of all ages and abilities.  Her goal is to create a positive space where dancers can grow their creativity, artistry and confidence.  She is looking forward to sharing her love of dance with the Strive community!

Clare has been a school teacher for 18 years.  Drama has always been a passion of hers, and she loves using it as a tool to help children build confidence and express themselves.

 

Watching kids grow in their ability to communicate, explore emotions, and find their voices through drama is incredibly rewarding.  Clare believes every child has a unique story to tell, and drama provides a fun, supportive space for them to do just that.

Kate has been dancing with Strive for over half her life, taking classes in a range of styles.  She has been training in Acro for 8 years and has also developed a love for Contemporary, Jazz and teaching in recent years!

 

Completing Strive’s Assistant Programme from 2022 to 2024, as well as the Acrobatic Arts Assistant Programme in 2024, Kate is super excited to begin her teaching journey in 2025.

 

Kate can’t wait to bring lots of energy to her classes and have the best year with her students.
